This is a representation of the element 'earth'.
The branches do not encase this creature, rather, they are him. They do not hinder him. Instead, they move with him, are a part of him, as he is a part of them. They surround, support and protect him. When not in motion, he will root himself to the ground to gather energy and to secure himself.

This took a very long time to make. But I'm quite proud of the result! It's probably the best photoshopped painting I've ever done. I learned a lot while doing it, and am getting a bit more confident with photoshop. And on top of that, it was lots of fun to do--- creating a creature and colouring and the whole bit.

I've nicknamed him "Bushbear". The original sketch can be found at

Anyways, this is my entry for

and

's element contest.

EDIT: Oh Man! A DD! *slight freakout* Wow! Was that ever a great surprise!
Thanks so much

and

for suggesting and featuring my work. Towards those who kindly favourited my work: I wont be able to thank you all individually, but I send out a huge THANK YOU! It really means a lot to me, and I'm truly glad you like my bushbear!
But I love the details and the whole concept of how he's one with the earth and everything is together.
Kudos!
I'm very glad you like him!
