Ive recently learned a bit of the basics surrounding the program Blender. Its a 3d rendering program which seems to have all the bells and whistles. The trick is to figure out how to use it without pulling your hair out. I dont think I have a knack for it. (Its like complex to the extreme!) But it was interesting to try out. I made a head which looked very... lumpy. It was a lot of fun (and frustration!), and I especially liked painting the texture, or skin, on to the face.

If anyone is interested in Blender, the program is actually free, but holds much of the capabilities that the expensive rendering programs and plug ins do. So very worthwhile. There are also tutorials on the internet. Aswell as downloadable characters, textures ect.


I dont think that 3d blender is for me. The person teaching me had an enthusiasm and interest for it that I can compare to my drawing. It was a great experience, but I believe that I'll leave the 3d to him!
